New article in JOSA B

Our article “Quantum electrodynamics with a nonmoving dielectric sphere: quantizing Lorenz-Mie scattering” was just published in JOSA B. In this article, in collaboration with prof. Romero-Isart’s team at University of Innsbruck, we rigorously quantize the electromagnetic field in the presence of a dielectric sphere. This quantization enables us to describe scattering of quantum states of light, such as squeezed states or few-photon states. A big congratulations to Dr Patrick Maurer from the Romero-Isart team who led this fantastic theoretical research effort!

This work culminates a beautiful 5-year research line in collaboration with the Romero-Isart team. We hope to keep doing amazing science in the years to come!
