Our work "Motional entanglement of remote optically levitated nanoparticles" has been published in Physical Review A!
In this work, led by our colleagues at ETH Zürich, we propose a method to generate entanglement between the motional degrees of freedom of two levitated nanoparticles far away from each other. The method is based on efficiently channeling the light scattered by one particle (thus containing all the information about its motional state) toward the second particle by using e.g. an optical fiber. This enables to tailor a strong enough interaction to prepare an entangled state.
